Preparing for Emergencies

Guidelines for Church Response
| | Most emergencies are handled by wards or stakes using local welfare resources and member volunteers.
| | | When disasters affect more than one stake, the regional welfare committee chairman should coordinate the Church response.
| | | When the needs of members exceed local resources, Welfare Services at Church headquarters may help coordinate a broad-based response. Disaster needs of victims who are not members of the Church may be met by Church humanitarian service.
