Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation is helping a person return to an earlier level of functioning with regard to a skill, ability, or knowledge. The Church provides vocational rehabilitation services through Deseret Industries to help the needy identify and overcome employment barriers. The rehabilitation process includes an assessment of vocational strengths or weaknesses and an individual rehabilitation plan with accompanying goals and time lines. The development of new skills, abilities, or knowledge not previously possessed by the needy person is referred to as habilitation.
