Merchandise is accepted for donation year-round. Though the items you donate are likely used, they should be useful and in good condition. Many people choose to wash, iron, mend, or repair the items they donate, which is greatly appreciated.
Tax Deductions
As Deseret Industries is a nonprofit organization, all donations are tax deductible.
How to Make a Donation
There are two ways to make a donation: drop-off and pick-up. Donations are accepted Monday through Saturday. Sunday donations are not accepted.
Drop-Off donations
To drop off a donation, please follow these simple steps:
- Take the donation to the donation dock of your local Deseret Industries. As donation hours vary by store, please call the nearest Deseret Industries for donation hours. Store contact information is found under the "Locations" link on the toolbar.
- Obtain your tax-deductible donation receipt.
Pick-Up donations
If your schedule or size of donation prevent you from dropping off the donation, pick-up service is available at some locations.
Please call your local store to inquire regarding pick-up service. At the time of pick-up, you will be offered a tax-deductible donation receipt.
