Individual Donations
The Church welcomes donations to your local Deseret Industries store of new and gently used items, including clothing, household items, and educational materials. In addition, the following new items may be donated directly to the LDS Humanitarian Center:
Quilts (New)
- Quilt sizes: crib (45" by 60"), single (72" by 90"), double (90" by 96").
- Quilt materials: preshrunk, durable fabrics; acrylic yarn; #10 Knit Cro-sheen crochet thread
or a similar thread.
- Tie with a square knot or international stitch; make stitches 34 inches apart.
Children's Clothing (New)
Boys' and girls' clothing, including pants, shorts, skirts, shirts, blouses, pajamas, dresses, and underclothing in sizes 214 years. Please send clothing made of durable, washable fabrics.
First Aid Items (in original packaging)
- Ace bandages
- Adhesive bandages, 1" wide
- Adhesive tape, 1" wide
- Arm splints
- Cotton balls, sterile and non-sterile
- Tongue depressors
- Cotton swabs, sterile and non-sterile
- Gauze pads, all sizes
- Gauze rolls, all sizes
- Paper tape, 1" wide
- Materials for making casts
Other Items (New)
- Infant undershirts
- Knitted and crocheted items (keep items simple and practical; catch-stitch or safety-pin together finished pairs of mittens, slippers, etc; do not use buttons for eyes on knitted or crocheted toys; if velcro is used, cut into round or oval pieces)
- Flat crib sheets, 42" by 72"
- Children's pajamas (knit, flannel, or cotton)
- Toys (please request guidelines and patterns from the LDS Humanitarian Center or visit www.lds.org/ldsfoundation/welfare)
You may make these donations through your local Deseret Industries store. If you do not live near a Deseret Industries store, contact the LDS Humanitarian Center for information about shipping your donation to the center.
Corporate Donations
