Gratitude for Church Welfare Programs

- Letters from High School
- Students send letters expressing gratitude for the books donated by the Church. Until these pallets of school supplies were sent, the school classrooms were in need of books and other items.
- Of Washcloths and Watchwords
- A member who was working in Kosovo to restore damaged schools didn't know how to explain the name of her church in Albanian. When hygiene kits arrived in her area, people were able to identify them with the Church. They ask her to thank the people who sent them.
- An Outsider's Look
- People not of the LDS faith comment about the humanitarian efforts made by the Church and its members.
- Cracked Wheat and Canned Peaches
- Detlef Lehnardt remembers the destruction and deprivation in Berlin during World War II, but he also remembers the kindness of the Saints in America in sending relief in the form of food and clothing.
- A Small Gift
- Letters from doctors at the Children's Hospital in Los Angeles express gratitude for quilts received from the Church. The quilts were given to children coming in to the hospital's "Rest Assured" program, which is a shelter for children in distress.
- Angels at the Bishops' Storehouse
- A young man wrote a letter of thanks for the help he and his family received from the storehouse.
