Make Humanitarian Kits

The Church provides Hygiene Kits, Newborn Kits, and School Kits to needy people across the world. There are many opportunities to contribute to this effort, regardless of where you live. If you would like to prepare humanitarian aid kits, please consider the following guidelines:

  • Eagle Scout Projects: Before starting an Eagle Scout project for items to be sent to the LDS Humanitarian Center in Salt Lake City, please call (801) 240-5954.

  • Volunteers and groups who live close to a Humanitarian Service Room, located in selected Deseret Industries stores, are encouraged to assemble kits in these rooms. The service rooms are equipped with the machines and supplies necessary to complete the kits.

  • Volunteers and groups are welcome to assemble humanitarian aid kits according to established guidelines. However, Church funds are not available to support these activities. Completed kits should be shipped or taken to the Latter-day Saint Humanitarian Center, or your local bishops' storehouse.

Contact the Latter-day Saint Humanitarian Center for more information on project ideas.
