Articles on Parenting (Discipline and Behavior Problems)

The following articles contain information on the topic of Parenting (Discipline and Behavior Problems). We encourage you to contact one of our offices for additional assistance.

"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it" (Proverbs 22:6).

Many parents struggle with knowing the best way to discipline and train a child. Too often there is yelling, threatening, and lack of follow-through. At times not only our children seem out of control but also our own responses. As a result, we feel guilty and ineffective. We need to do something different and use correct principles to change our behavior.

"Dear Are the Sheep That Have Wandered"
Satan's pervasive snares are increasing, and raising children is becoming harder because of this. "Selflessness Versus Selfishness"
In a devotional address given at Brigham Young University, Elder William R. Bradford spoke on the difference between selfishness and selflessness in parental practices. He states, “Just as selflessness can carry us to our exaltation and eternal lives, so can selfishness lead us to our destruction and eternal damnation.”

Bradford, William R.
