Stress is an unavoidable reality and consequence of our life experience. It crosses all ethnic and cultural boundaries and permeates everything and everybody. Stress can have both a positive and negative aspect to it. Whether stress is beneficial or not depends upon our ability to cope and deal with it. Just as bad stress can cause distress and health problems, good stresses can offset this and promote wellness. The key is to find the proper level of stress that promotes optimal performance.
